An 80’s Queens, NY flyer of a show at Flamboyant, featuring MC Sweet T, Dj Brother Bee, Paradise (who I believe is KAP TPA pictured in the upper right hand corner) EPLD, Tee Love, Lady Love, Rozzell the human beat box, DJ Deo, Mahogany, Harmony Ebony, MC Pac, and last but not least by any means MC Cool Jay (ladies love) performing “I Need A Beat” (It all starts somewhere) I would have to guess that the flyer was illustrated by another TPA member PeWe IA.

Flash back to the past. This article was out of New Yorker Magazine circa 1984, if I remember right . Killer frames they were for sure. If you walked the streets in the 80’s then you know the deal on these frames and how of a big deal it was to have them. Just walking out the house with these glasses on could take you on an wild life adventure if you weren’t prepared. Like Mos Def said, in his song Habitat, ” To the crib where the little kids spend their summers trapped / With the jungle cats, lions and tigers, leopards and cheetahs / For gazelle (cazals) you get chased like a zebra…”
The 80’s was one hell of a decade.
