Take a look at this Grand Master Flash and Louis Vuitton Ad I cut out of a magazine in 1996. I always felt it was interesting that Louie Vuitton would do that type of ad using a Hip Hop icon in that era. Main strean power house brands had yet to realize the selling power that Hip Hop had to offer. As a matter of fact, around that time it was alleged that several of the mega brands had actually done the opposite insisting that they were not interested in minorities sporting their wears.
