ReVISIONS Cover No.7 by Joe Buck
What I wanted to do here was capture the wild, awkward, unorthodox nature of this album. When you get Mad Lib on the beats and MF Doom on the mic there is bound to be tons of inspirational content for use in graphics. I illustrated the famous MF Doom mask adding on my swirl horns (which are a part of my W.BAU painting series), throwing in a brass knuckle crown and a set of gold fronts. I surrounded the illustration with visual excepts of Dooms lyrics all topped off with my trademark vintage 12″ album cover theme.
From Rainbows to Drano this is a great album.
The ReVISION and REDEFinition of Dope
This cover as well as many others wil be part of a collaboration series from ArtilleryDS x Damu x Redefinition Records called The Redefinition Series. In teaming up with Damu and Redef Records, my images will now have sound added. Damu will be remixing selected songs from the albums that I am revising art wise.
